The perimeter of polygons - draw each shape and find the answer.  Write the name of the shape next to it.  Use P= to write the answer (length of the perimeter).

A.  What is the perimeter of a regular octagon with one side measuring 5 meters?

B.  What is the perimeter of a regular pentagon with one side that is 7,5 centimeters?

C.  What is the perimeter of a square with one side measuring 1,25 feet?

D.  What is the perimeter of a regular heptagon with one side measuring 7 inches?

E.  What is the perimeter of a regular hexagon with one side measuring 2 cm?

F.  What is the perimeter of an irregular pentagon with one side that measures 4,5 inches?


Find the perimeter:

1. a square garden with 6,2 m sides.

2. a triangle with sides 23 cm, 12,8 cm and 18,9 cm.

3. a rectangular park with sides 0,9 km and 1,4 km.

4. a pentagon with sides 3.8 cm, 4,6 cm, 2,8 cm, 5 cm, and 3,1 cm.

5.  an equilateral triangle with 7,8 mm sides.

Calcular porcentagem é muito fácil! 

Leia a seguinte situação:

Uma loja no ETC oferece 20% de desconto nas compras à vista. Uma 

blusa estava custando R$145,00. Comprei à vista para aproveitar o 

desconto oferecido. Quanto paguei pela blusa?

 

Inteiro = R$ 145,00 (valor da blusa)

Desconto = 20%

Valor da blusa menos o desconto de 20% = ?

Veja as dicas a seguir:

1-    Transforme a porcentagem em fração.

 

20% = 20/100

2-    Divida o inteiro por cem, como manda o denominador da fração, utilizando a estratégia que aprendemos em sala de aula:

 

Todo número dividido por 100 diminui duas ordens.

R$ 145,00 : 100 =

R$   14,50 (diminui uma ordem)

R$     1,45 (diminui duas ordens)

Assim encontramos o valor de 1/100 , ou seja, o valor de 1%.

3-    Agora é só multiplicar o valor correspondente a 1% por 20. 

      Assim saberemos o valor de 20%.

1% = R$ 1,45

R$ 1,45 X 20 = R$ 29,00

 

Inteiro = R$ 145,00 (valor da blusa)

Desconto = 20%

Valor da blusa menos o desconto de 20% = ?

R$ 145,00 – R$ 29,00 = R$ 116,00

     Encontrando o valor de 1% você pode 

calcular o valor de qualquer porcentagem.
