Homework for May 4th

Hi everyone!

Today was a great day.  We learned so much in the first hour that it felt like TWO HOURS!  Make sure to read everything below!

Remember your homework for today is to:

  1. Watch the videos on the class blog.
  2. Draw a visualization of Newton’s Third Law and write a sentence in your own words.
  3. Complete the vocabulary activity with a dictionary.

Best dictionary available at - http://learnersdictionary.com/

**Students who have missed class recently: First, rest, recover, sleep and drink lots of water! We need you back to class feeling full of energy! Watch the videos below and continue reading the Force and Motion book. Do independent research using YouTube to enrich your learning.

Videos for today!

What is a pendulum? A pendulum is a stick or piece of string that has a weight at the bottom. It swings back and forth at a constant rate.

Next, here's a clip from a Bill Nye video about Force and Motion.

The third short video is about FRICTION!

Last but not least, here is a video of the three Laws of Motion explained using a bicycle as an example.  The first two are easy to understand and the third is challenging.

Have fun and talk with your parents about all the fun things you are learning!
